Never forget the old saying: “Happy Wife- Happy Life.”
-
Make a commitment- that is what love is.
-
Tell her you love her and tell her often.
-
Ask for her opinion.
-
Listen to what she says.
-
Think twice before responding in anger.
-
Be the man, her man.
-
Show respect.
-
Communicate your feelings.
-
Show appreciation.
-
Appreciate how hard it must be to put up with you.
-
Do things she likes.
-
Be sincere.
-
Tell her every time she does something that you appreciate what she did.
These were hard earned lessons for me and I still struggle to live by them. I keep telling myself that without her I would be living in a closet, wearing dirty underwear and eating peanut butter. It helps put life in perspective for me.
Thirteen is an odd number and I surely have missed something so please help me out by suggesting more. Maybe together we can make it to 20.
Wish I had read this list about a year ago 😉
I especially enjoyed #10 ;D
Wish I knew it 30 years ago.
I hope you won’t be offended, but um- Think about her needs in bed.
I have been happily married for 20 years almost 21.
No question that that is a biggee. Not sure why I left that out. I think I focused on the things that were the most difficult areas for me and where my wife and I had the most problems (really where I had the most problems).
