It is easy to tell yourself what a great retirement you would have if you only had more money. You don’t need to take a cruise or tour the world to have an outrageous retirement moment. Take a day and ride the public transportation in a city you love. Or even a city you think you know already. Last week, my wife and I took the ferry to San Francisco and rode cable cars, trolley cars and busses. It was cheap and fun. We didn’t visit a museum and we learned much more about San Francisco than we ever learned visiting as a tourist.

Enjoyable video Ralph, SF looks like a fun place.
I didn’t recognise Jeanette MacDonald but thought it sounded like 30’s music and Wikipedia confirmed it was from the 1936 film of the same name.
I had never heard the Eric burdon track untill today, a nice mix of music to go with the video.

Bill,
I was planning to narrate but then discovered that Windows Movie Maker doesn’t make that easy. I thought the music would be a good background to let the pictures tell the story, Glad you enjoyed the music

Nice video Ralph…I see your tech abilities are climbing faster than mine.
I was glad to see you got my favorite shot in SF…Rainbow Row. Now if you had just gotten Lombard Street…but I guess talking a bus driver into tryin’ Lombard would have been tough.
Bob,
This was just the first installment. There are plenty of neighborhoods left to explore. If you listen, you can hear the conductor announcing the cable car stop for Lombard Street in between the music clips. You can get a bus but I think you have to walk the street or get a cab.

The video was great. I watched the whole 6:08 minutes of it and was impressed. Love the Eric Burdon song. You and the wife look great and are a real testimony to an Outrageous Retirement Lifestyle.

Hansi,
Before I had the video camera we spent a day on the Red Line in LA. We may have to do it again next time we get down. It will be a good excuse to add Randy Newman to the soundtrack. I Love LA.
