Less is More

The great architect Mies van der Rohe had a philosophy of design which he summed up in this pithy phrase.

We have been through a period of excess for just about every aspect of life but maybe now we are ready to take a more measured approach.

Take Legos.  For years we have seen extravagent models of landmarks using thousands of individual pieces.  It is tiring even to think about building such monsters but we were all impressed with the ambition, the patience and the money necessary to make them.

Now for some sanity take a look at these lego models.
