Never forget the old saying: “Happy Wife- Happy Life.”

  1. Make a commitment- that is what love is.

  2. Tell her you love her and tell her often.

  3. Ask for her opinion.

  4. Listen to what she says.

  5. Think twice before responding in anger.

  6. Be the man, her man.

  7. Show respect.

  8. Communicate your feelings.

  9. Show appreciation.

  10. Appreciate how hard it must be to put up with you.

  11. Do things she likes.

  12. Be sincere.

  13. Tell her every time she does something that you appreciate what she did.

These were hard earned lessons for me and I still struggle to live by them. I keep telling myself that without her I would be living in a closet, wearing dirty underwear and eating peanut butter. It helps put life in perspective for me.

Thirteen is an odd number and I surely have  missed something so please help me out by suggesting more. Maybe together we can make it to 20.

  6. I hope you won’t be offended, but um- Think about her needs in bed.

I have been happily married for 20 years almost 21.

  7. No question that that is a biggee. Not sure why I left that out. I think I focused on the things that were the most difficult areas for me and where my wife and I had the most problems (really where I had the most problems).
